Hawskbill Turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata); This species is distinguished b y its pointed head, hawk-like bead, and overlapping bony plates on the back. The richly coloured and patterned shell has been the hawksbill's downfall because of its value for jewelry and objects, such as spectacle frames.
