Dear Fellow Divers’ and Friends
Every September, around 100 countries take part in the
“International Coastal Cleanup Day” organized by Project
AWARE Foundation and the Ocean Conservancy. Project AWARE is a non-profit
organization of PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors),
a renowned diving organization in the world.
In the Philippines, the LWUA (Local Water Utilities
Administration) Divers Club, Inc a non-stock non-profit organization
and an affiliate of Project Aware Foundation, is organizing the event
in Mabini, Batangas. They will be putting on their dive gears to pick
up the rubbish underwater while non-diver volunteers will be putting
on their plastic gloves in picking up the trashes along the beach.
In this regard we would like to ask you to be part
of this noble cause by being one of the volunteers or as a sponsor by
extending your benevolent assistance providing volunteers with any logistics
or financial support. Your support and recognition of the vital role
and efforts of the LWUA Divers and community volunteers to remove aquatic
debris and solve debris issues is a big leap to improve conservation
management that affects the health of our global environment. The data
collected by each participant shall be used to educate public audiences
and policy makers to influence change.
You may send your contributions to the LWUA Divers
Club, Inc or deposit with the Banco De Oro under account no. 0287-04919-6.
For more details, please do not hesitate to contact
Ms. Olga Poblete at 0919-5538659 or e-mail your inquiry to willie@mozcom.com.
Thank you in anticipation of your participation
and support.
Very sincerely yours,
